At AMOR Events we believe that

Every Love Story is Beautiful

Since before same sex marriage was legal in Oregon and before AMOR was officially established Liz has been helping same sex couples craft their dream day.

Our first same sex wedding was an elopement in Vermont in the fall of 2011, three years before same sex marriage was legal in Oregon. It was very important to this couple to have a legal marriage even if they couldn't do so in their home state. So, across the country we went. Luggage packed with sizzle and whimsy ready to make magic happen.

It was an honor to assist our couple in carefully planning and crafting a weekend celebration on the shores of Lake Champlain in Vermont to celebrate a beautiful love story with family and friends.

From planning regional activities and bachelorette parties, to sourcing a venue, officiant, marriage license, wedding cake, florals, décor, to planning welcome dinners and a traditional New England Clambake for the reception. Liz was with this couple in each step of the planning and execution process.

When AMOR Events was officially established in 2016, just two years after same sex marriage became legal in Oregon, we knew that being upfront about where we stood on marriage equality was important.

Planning a wedding and booking vendors is stressful enough but when vendors aren’t upfront on where they stand it adds another layer of stress for same sex couple who are working to ensure vendors are allies and/or belong to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Know that when reaching out to AMOR Events to help with your wedding planning you will not only find love and acceptance but receive the same level of respect, attention, and care as any other client inquiring about services. We have a long list of vendor referrals who are also supportive and affirming that join us in supporting and ensuring marriage equality in the wedding community.
